Last April, Nodus Empty Container depot achieved the ISO 14001:2004 Certification.
While this environmental certification will generate a greater value for our clients and it will determine better commercial and operational performance, we understand it goes far beyond:
International Standards covering environmental management provide Sur Logistic Terminal (STL) with the elements of an effective environmental management system (EMS) that can be integrated with other management requirements and help us achieve environmental and economic goals.
It seeks to achieve and demonstrate sound environmental performance by controlling the impacts of our activities, products and services on the environment and preventing all sorts of contamination.
STL adopted Nodus’s Health Safety and Environment integrated policy and thus could establish objectives and processes to achieve the policy commitments, take action as needed to improve its performance and demonstrate the conformity of the system to the requirements of this International Standard.
We are aware that the success of the system depends on commitment from all levels and functions of the organization, and especially from top management. We are thus very proud. It is a further step towards sustainable development.
