Grains and fertilizers

The region of South America in which Nodus operates is the main world grain producer and an important actor in industrial processes. Likewise, there is a growing demand for fertilizers which must be transported and distributed in the opposite direction to agricultural products.

In line with the logistic needs of this sector, Nodus is involved in projects which require investment in infrastructure, knowledge, expertise and management skills.

The main communication route and backbone of any logistics system for these products is the Paraná-Paraguay Waterway, spreading across 3,500 km and ending at the Nueva Palmira port complex in Uruguay.

Through its presence in Nueva Palmira, Nodus is involved in the handling, storage and/or agency of more than 6 million tons of grains per year.
