Montecon, the main operator of the public areas of the Port of Montevideo, presented to union carriers members the first app focused on port activity.
Named Montecon, as the company, the tool can be downloaded for free at Android, iOS and Google Play stores. Once installed, one can easily access valuable information for the members of the logistics community.
The biggest innovation is found after clicking the “Import Pre-Delivery” icon, which allows carriers to know the exact location in which they will be able to get their cargo, eliminating a step in the delivery of import known as pre-gate.
In addition, through the icon “Arrivals” one can obtain real-time data on the estimated date of arrival of any ship, and on the opening and closing of stacking (time window for reception of containers for a ship) and the beginning and end of vessel operations.
Meanwhile, in the “Containers query” label one can get detailed information on the import or export container operations.
Moreover, the app includes the icons “News”, “Notifications” and “Contacts” which show content on www.montecon.com.uy.
